The Buttercup Market and Café will be at Local Fest showing off home made goodies and market products from local vendors. It keeps more tax dollars in our community to support our schools, parks, police, and other services. Local Fest was started by the Sustainable business Council in 2008 to promote their “buy local” campaign and support Missoula businesses.īuying local bolsters our economic base since the dollars are re-spent in Missoula and local businesses are more likely to use other local services and products. It’s a fun, family friendly event that radiates Missoula Culture. Chefs will compete in a gourmet competition, activities for the kiddo’s last until 5 PM, a food and beer garden will be open all day, and musicians will provide fabulous live music starting at 6 PM. Local Fest promotes everything Missoula from local retailers, to restaurants, to artists, to non-profit organizations. Attentive Red Bird Restaurant-Jim and Laura-oh my-you're exceptional-Wine, Experimentation, Flavors-they warm my heart Actually, I think my meal was the best meal I have ever had at a restaurant, and I am picky!!įor Sourcing Local Food, Organic and High Quality Ingredients-These are the folks that come to Farmers Market with backpacks, wagons, baskets and a list every week, every week-with that I'm on a mission look and familiarity with the farmers-all these have Veggie Options I have gone there three times, and had the best mahi mahi i have ever had. It is called the Mission Bistro and is well worth the trip. Plus you can't beat their happy hour!Īnd for my favorite new restaurant, you have to drive to Stevensville. Bridge Pizza - Uses local and organic and has the best prices for quality food. The Pearl - Uses local - my info is limited Silk Road - uses lots of local and has the best homegrown missoula chefs!!! He should be getting more money for his beef because it tastes so good!!! Riverside Cafe - uses lots of local & organic - The burger is the best burger in town! I am personal friends with the farmer who raises the beef. For someone who has seen the rise and fall of many great restaurants in Missoula, there is a definitive list of where to eat!ĭecent food is hard to find, great food is even more rare.
